iZotope Neutron

Surprise, after 4 years of inactivity we’re back with a quick post.

I’ve talked about iZotope Ozone in the past, it’s a great plugin and I think everyone should probably have it or something equivalent.  Today I’m here to let you know about iZotope’s Neutron  which is still available with their introductory pricing.  In short, it’s great.  If you’re looking for an all encompassing mixing solution, it’s worth the price of admission.  I haven’t compared the various levels, because I took advantage of the cross-grade/loyalty discount and recently picked up the full bundle.

If you already have Ozone, I think the cross-grade deal is just awesome.  The introductory pricing apparently ends on the 31st of October, so I’d jump on that.  As with most plugins, the pricing will likely be extended.

Ludum Dare 23 – Nanofault Music

I participated this weekend in creating Nanofault.  This was my first LD (actually, I think a first for the whole team).  I was responsible for:  Music, SFX (thanks SFXr!) and some very rudimentary coding (Unity3d noobie).  If you want to read about my personal “development postmortem” you can check it out on my development blog.  It’s not currently posted, but I’ll be doing it within the next couple of days.  On to the music.

Another Song Sketch (WIP)

This one is on the lighter side, so it’s not likely to end up in an action game or anything (like the rest of my music).  I wish I could isolate a bit more noise out of my “studio” but this will have to do for a little while longer.  I don’t quite have a mastering preset I really like for lighter music yet, so I’m still going to be tweaking this and probably filling it out a little bit more.
